V and I are lucky enough to be in Door County, WI for the long weekend. If you've been following along for a little bit, you know that it's our favorite place in, whelp, the world! DC is a Peninsula just north of Green Bay, situated between the waters of the Bay and Lake Michigan. It's just the best. Anyways, we have a really cool rustic picnic table up here that we love to eat on in the summertime outside. With the help of some gorgeous flowers from Door Blooms Flower Farm, that coincidentally turned out to be shades of red, white, and blue, we put together an easy and elegant 4th of July inspired table.
V dip-dyed leftover natural linen to create the no-sew indigo table runner and napkins with a simple fringe edge (you can see the gorgeous linen pillows she hand dyes here). We picked up these wood bead chargers from Target, but I'm sure there's a DIY for something similar somewhere on Pinterest! The awesome Abbie at Door Blooms provided these amazing magenta Peonies, blue Delphinium, violet Campanula and lipstick pink Yarrow to us in a pinch and even let us have our way with her wild flower field, where we found the rest of the foliage for the table (minus the Ladies Mantel, that was a quick snip from V's garden). Each stem was simply weaved into a really cool piece of driftwood that's been sitting on the mantel here forever.
We hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend filled with fireworks, ice cream and maybe an elegant tablescape!
