    CURRENT DIGS: LAYERED RUGS

There are so many ways to layer rugs. Depending on how you pair yours, the layers can add warmth and texture to a room, bring personality to neutral walls and furniture, and even act as a mock-carpet that covers an entire floor. While I'm drooling over the 'more is more' approach in the image below, a quick 'everyday' look can be achieved in even the smallest of spaces by doing one of two things: throwing a smaller patterned rug over a larger jute rug or staggering two rugs with simple prints and complimentary colors. I'm ready to freshen-up my rug situation and am using the below as major inspiration!

    CURRENT DIGS: UNCONVENTIONAL DINING

Formal dining tables, the way I imagine them, are equated with being overly stuffy and requiring more good manners and uptight posture than I'd care to offer up on a daily basis. That being said, I also understand that not every meal can be had curled up on the couch watching reruns of Seinfeld. These dining areas offer a perfect mix of funk and function, and make me want to linger over a long dinner, or just sit for a while with my coffee and laptop.

    CURRENT DIGS: WHITE

Some of my favorite rooms floating around the pinterest-sphere have one thing in common: white texture. Whether in the form of wood, brick, tile, or an eclectic mix of all three, the colorless patterns can create a clean and crisp look in the kitchen, and modern rustic vibe in a living area.
