Vintage Handira Wedding Blanket I
*Rare! Very few available.
Vintage Moroccan wedding blankets, or Handira, are woven out of sheep's wool, cotton, linen, and mirrored sequence by the Berber people of Morocco's Middle Atlas Mountains.
Approx. 70" x 45"
It's a textile rich in tradition, as they're woven by a bride-to-be's family prior to her wedding. It serves as a piece for warmth and decoration for her, while also being known to ward off evil and bestow good luck and fertility.
They look gorgeous across the end of a bed, over a sofa, or on a chase.
Each is one-of-a-kind and will vary slightly in the design of the sequence.
These textiles are vintage pieces and therefore perfectly imperfect! Some signs of ware are present. Embrace these as proof of authenticity, knowing that no one else will ever have the same blanket as YOU.
